welcome to the third of my occasional round up of things TTRPG which caught my attention this week.

New Releases.

OSRIC players guide. This is about the only new release that caught my attention this week. OSRIC is a great game and a worthy successor to AD&D 1ed.
The book is 224 pages long and has some great colour and black & White artwork within those pages. Inside you will find the core player rules for the advanced first edition of the game. The pdf is free to download from drivethruRPG and if you find it useful you can pick up the hardback copy for a modest $19.99 (about £16.00).

Humble Bundles.

A couple of bundles to talk about. First up Dungeon Crawl Classics is on offer, For £31.66 you get 80 titles including the softback cover of Mutant Crawl Classics. I believe you need to also cover the cost of postage for the book but its still a great price.
If you don’t want the physical book then for £19.78 you will get the 79 pdfs. If you are unsure if DCC is for you the for £0.79p you get the pdf of the core rules plus two other titles and a 20% off voucher for any purchase off goodman-games/com.
As I type this there are 9 days left on these bundles.

Second is Warhammer Fantasy Role Play. For £11.98 you get 10 pdf’s including the rule book and the starter set as well as a 20% off voucher redeemable against purchases from Cubicle Seven via their website. If you just want to see if Warhammer FRPG is for you the £0.78p gets you the starter set and two other pdfs as well as the 20% voucher.
As I type this there is still 16 days left for this to run.

Both bundles offer a lot for your money and a portion of you payment goes to charity so a double win for all.

That, sadly, is all I have time for this Tuesday. Thanks for reading.

  1. Stu, I’m having trouble finding the particular OSRIC Player’s Guide that you mention on DriveThruRPG. I found a Pocket SRD from Usherwood in various electronic formats for free, and I already had an older edition of the Core Rules (Updated 2e) that matches this file. I see that there is a somewhat recent print version of an OSRIC Player’s Guide from Charlie Mason on Amazon last year. Could you tell me who the publisher is of the version to which you’re referring?

    1. John,
it was available on DrivethruRPG, I found out about it from an email sent to me by DrivethruRPG. The book seems to have been removed, I don’t know why, and I cannot see it on the OSRIC website either.
unfortunately I have just cleared down all my emails including the one with the link to the book on Drivethru which is a shame. I should have put the link in the post, sorry about that.
