Yes, I know its Wednesday –

but its probably Tuesday someplace in the universe and I have not been able to do a Tuesday TTRPG Talk for a couple of weeks, hospital appointments, Easter and trying (and failing) to keep up with commissions have got in the way of gaming and my blog.

So a day late but there are one or two things that caught my attention so…

Tales of Argosa Kickstarter update.

The main thing of interest to me was the fact that the Tales of Argosa kickstarter has just ended and was fully funded, brilliant!

I backed it for the Hardback book and the PDF, I think I was backer number 18. I decided not to go for the dice and cards although I may pick them up at a later date, both are very useful and well thought out, I think the deck of signs in particular add greatly to the solo gaming experience, but if I am honest, funds just didn’t allow me to add them on just yet.

All stretch goals were reached so that’s pdfs of the GM screen and 2 adventures as well as VTT support.

The hardback book should be shipping out around November time, hopefully sooner for the PDF version. Pickpocket Press also plan to release another playtest version with the new artwork so thats also something to look forward to.

I am delighted to have back it, I cannot wait to get my hands on the physical copy and as my Betrayal of the Dragon Queen solo campaign progresses I know some of the additional rules will come in really handy.

One final thing, Pickpocket Press in their latest kickstarter update said that they will be making their Adventure Journal available to backers at cost. This is a spiral bound full colour, 7.5″ by 7.5″, 140 pages, light parchment background with an illustration on every page (total of fifty different illustrations, each illo appears roughly three times throughout) journaling book. It looks really cool, almost too good to write in, but I plan to take advantage of the offer as it will be a great way to journal my ToA campaign.

Other things of interest.

Cairn 2e is live on kickstarter. As I type this there are 16 days to go. The boxed set sounds like great value, you get Print and PDf version of the Players guide, Wardens guide and Trouble in Twin Lakes. Also included is the Warden Screen, a pad of character sheets and all unlocked stretch goals in an exclusive collectors box. This pledge is $55.

GURPS Discworld bundle of holding is another one worthy of a look. For $14.95 you get not only GURPS Discworld but GURPS 4e Fantasy -Tech 1 : The Edge of Reality and GURPS 4e Low Tech. If you are a fan of the Discworld novels this could be the bundle for you.

There is loads of other stuff happen in the TTRPG world but sadly I have ran out of time, I will have more next week, until then

Adventure On!

  1. Hi, Stu!

With this post, I’ve made it a point to give you a shout-out over in one of my public Facebook groups, Online Gaming Get-Togethers. I hope that the mention there draws more readers to you here!

Good luck with the life issues getting in the way! Spiting them by posting your Tuesday topic on a Wednesday shows that you mean business!

Please have a wonderful weekend with the solo play that you love so much!
    John

    1. Thanks John.
I have just popped over to facebook and joined the group. I genuinely appreciate the shout-out and your support. I am really enjoying Tales of Argosa RPG at the moment but plan to pick up the Lowlife 2090 adventure soon, I am starting to miss Weasel and Kid Sinister,
I hope you have a great gaming weekend too.
      Stu.
