Welcome to the second of my ‘occasional’ quick round up of things that caught my interest in the TTRPG world this week as well as other things that are going on in my gaming world.
Tiny Prep.
An email came through to me yesterday from Johnn Four from Roleplayingtips.com advising the launch of his new book ‘Tiny Prep’. Co-written by Che Webster of Roleplayrescue.com (blog and podcast), Johnn tells us that this book will transform your GMing with tiny tools that garner you big swings at the game table.
As I type this I have yet to read the book, its on my list of ones to get as soon as funds allow. Both Johhn Four and Che Webster are long time TTRPG players, I have several of Johhns other publications and always find them well written and really useful, even to a solo player like me, and Che Webster writes a brilliant blog and podcast so I have no doubt about the quality and usefulness of this publication. As soon as I have a copy I will review it on the blog, but in the meantime check it out yourself by popping over to Roleplayingtips.com
Other interesting publication new this week.
DrivethruRPG have some great PDF and Roll 20 bundle deals in their GMs day sales. My pick of the titles include
Dragonsbane RPG. There is a whopping 80% off this title making it a steal at $10.99
Kids on Bikes RPG. Another core rulebook that has my interest, reduced from $23.98 to just $7.19
Cyberpunk RED RPG. I do like my cyberpunk games and this is another RPG I really should pick up. Reduced from $69.99 to $13.99.
Why do these deals always seem to come around at a time when my hobby funds are at zero.
Be sure to check out those and many other great deals on DrivethruRPG.com before the sale ends.
Whats going on with my blog.
I have a lot of commission work just come in so the time available to me to play TTRPGs is much reduced. I plan this week to take a break from my Lowlife 2090 game and use what time I can steal from my busy painting scheduled to work on the next campaign. I am thinking either picking up my Beyond the Wall and other adventures campaign, set in the Bay of Spirits setting, or, and this appeals more to me, a Sci-Fi campaign possibly using Traveller RPG or Other Suns the old FGU game. I may even try to develop campaigns for both Beyond the Wall and a Sci-Fi game simultaneously. Whatever I do, blog posts will begin to appear towards the end of the week.
Unfortunately, that is all I have time for this week, thanks for reading.
