The last time I posted anything was on the 7th of December, and this post is going to be short and sweet and nothing much to do with TTRPGs.
I have really not been up to doing anything for a good couple of weeks, with no energy or spirit for gaming or the blog, all plans have been put on hold for now.
I had hospital appointments either side of New Years Day, feeling like I did, I called the hospital on Monday to see if I should postpone the appointments until I felt better. The Nurse I spoke to told me to go straight to A&E to get checked out as the was a concern I could get sepsis.
Anyway, everything checked out okay, or so I thought. At 4pm yesterday the nurse called me to say the results of a swab showed I had both Covid and Flu! No wonder I felt so run down. Thankfully, because I have a week immune system, I got both the winter flu jab and covid booster. I have no doubt they helped me avoid the worst and I am on the mend and should be back in action soon.
With tales of my illness and hospital dramas out of the way, on to more important stuff.
I am really excited to have received an email from Pickpocket Press to say my copy of Tales of Argosa is on its way to me. It is coming by DHL International so I suspect it will arrive soon. I have some really great ideas for some ToA solo action. Not sure if I will go back to my Betrayal of the Dragon Queen campaign or start something new, chances are it will be a combination of the two trains of thought.
Also I plan to resume work on my Ice pirates adventure once I am over this bout of covid and flu. To help me with that, and on the advice of a long time follower and advisor to my little blog, Mr J. Merle Holes, I have order a copy of Legendary games book, Sea Monsters for pathfinder 2e. Hopefully when that arrives from DrivethroughRPG I will feel bright enough to type up the adventure and see if its good enough to consider publishing. Plan now, is to write it for use with ToA.
Finally, I plan to round off my current Beyond the Wall adventure set in the Bay of Spirits. The five adventures were close to the final encounter with the Necromancer when I became to unwell to do much, but I want to see what happens to them, so thats looking good for a few more blog posts. Also, I want to revisit Lowlife 2090 and Mendoza City with a new bunch of cyberpunk characters. So lots going on in the New Year.
I hope 2025 proves to be a good year for everyone,
Adventure on.
Stu.
