Question. Is the office as expected? (I am not sure what to expect so) 50/50. d100 roll = 88, Yes.
How many people are in the room? 1d6. Roll = 4.

Weasel and Kid Sinister had stepped into a normal office room, panelled in amber glass. Apart from Lavantha Ashterka there were three other people each seated behind a desk, each desk littered in papers and apparatus. Behind one desk sat a small nervous looking man who looked oddly normal in the augmented reality of Doza city, he certainly had no discernible augmentations. By contrast a giant of a Minotaur behind a giant of a desk next to him seemed to have more cyberware and body attachments than anyone would reasonably expect to have, even a taur. The last person seated in the room was a striking Elven girl who seemed to have the air of confidence only a person of elven extraction could have.

Weasel burst out laughing, “Is this it, the HQ of the great Peoples First Militia”?

The nervous looking man looked up from his desk and answered, “No. I’m Smith by the way”.

Weasel looked unimpressed. Smith introduced the other two, the taur as Shortstop, the elf as Cyprus. Weasel still looked unimpressed.

“so what can I do for you Mr Weasel”

Weasel quickly explained. Spark had contacted them, said he had important info and needed a meet. When they got to the rendezvous point, Spark had been shot. At the scene was someone employed by a people smuggle, Hif Klomo. They had found a pack of CTAC pills made by Modus Phama and Lavanthas number was on the packet. They what to know Lavanthas connection to Spark.

Question. Does Lavantha know Spark? Likely +20%. d100 roll = 71+20, 91%. Yes and.

Lavantha gives a slight nod of her head, “Spike did contact me, he was frightened. The packet of pills had my number printed on them, Spike called, told me about his friend, the one you where hired to find, he told us about you as well. I will tell you what I told him. Modus is a subsidiary of Pan Helix, the CTAC pill only work on 30% of those with CTAC, Modus and Pan Helix know that but they keep it quiet. Hif Klomo supplies people as guinea pigs to both Modus and Pan Helix, but worse than that, Klomo trades body parts. We are close to exposing them both. Modus and Klomo are to powerful for small time lifers like you to take on. If your expectation is to take them down, kill it, you wont get near, leave it to us, go back to you squat and a life of petty crime”.

If a Spriggan could look hurt, Weasel did.

Smith took up the conversation, as one sided as it was, “Klomo shut Spike up for sure, what we don’t know is how he knew Spike had spoken to us. He tried to get to you two before you could get here, again we don’t know how he knew. As Lavantha said, keep out of this if you value your life”.

Kid Sinister speaks for the first time, “it may be too late for that. Street seems strangely deserted even in this weather, know anything”?

Question. Does Lavantha or the other three know why the street is deserted? Likely +20%. d100 roll = 4 +20, 24%. No.

“just the weather keeping the lowlife in doors”, Cyprus chirps up.

Smith leads the two companions out of the building through a maze of amber coloured glass walls, “safer for you if you don’t leave by the front”, Smith warns them again, “Klomo is dangerous and we are to close to getting him and Modus to allow you to jeopardise it all, stay clear of this”.

Weasel and Kid Sinister step out into a back street and into the heavy rain.

Question. Is the back street as expected? 50/50. d100 = 21. No. (From Random word list, ‘Agitate;, ‘Cops’)

The companions turn to make their way back to the underground station, ahead of them are (1d4=3) Law Enforcers and they seem nervous and agitated. Without warning one of the cops shouts “thats them” and opens fire with his Browning Liberty in the direction of Weasel and Kid.

Weasel drops to the ground and Kid dives for cover. Before either can fire back a figure drops from the roof of a building onto one of the Law Enforcers. “Feck, a Vampire” wispers Kid.

A Law Enforecer screams in agony, the other two flee. Kid stands up he has a wooden stake in his hand, the vamp turns around and stares at him, “come on then” Kid shouts.

Question, Does the Vampire attack Kid and Weasel? Likely. d100 = 89 + 20. Yes and…

The vampire does as Kid asks and comes at speed towards Kid who stands his ground. As the Vampire goes in for the kill Kid attempts to push the stake into the Vampire heart.

The Vampire rolls a poor 12 for his melee roll, with a +10 bonus, kid uses one of his Luck and gets the Vamp to reroll, this time a 1, its not enough to hurt Kid. Kid rolls 16 with his bonuses he hits and drives the stake into the Vampires heart.

As the vampire screams and dies Kid knows he got lucky, That should have been the end of him. He goes over to Weasel and helps his friend up, “time to get away from here, I’ve had enough of Dockers Wedge”

To be continued.
