Unexplored threads and forgotten NPC’s.

At the end of my last Lowlife 2090 post I mentioned that I had paused the game to refresh myself with what had been going on. Although I type the game up on the blog as I go along I don’t make notes on paper and I find that, as there is often a break of several weeks between one session and the next, I lose track of what has gone on. So from now one I am arming myself with pen and paper and taking not of the important points at the end of each session.

Some of the questions and threads that I still need to look at are

1. Who killed Spark and why? this is a big one and the reason this adventure was brought to life.
2. Who sent the law enforcers to clean up the murder scene? I did find out that they were certainly not law enforcers but we don’t know where they were from and who sent them.
3. We still need to find our Vampire. Does the Vamp have anything to do with Club Jade?
4. What has Lavantha Ashterka, ex Modus Pharma employee and now a member of the People First Militia, to do with all this, she seems to have become a central figure.
5. Who is the woman who talked to Weasel outside Modus Pharma and is it the same woman who was taking photos at Club Jade? If so what is the connection, indeed is there a connection?
6. Who was the man getting out of the limo at Modus Pharma and is he connected to club jade?

There are some interesting NPC’s we have yet to really meet.
As mentioned earlier, Lavantha Ashterka seems important. Also Zink Onishi who was at the murder scene right at the start and works for Hif Klomo the taur people smuggler whos name also keeps cropping up. Perhaps Weasel and Kid need to investigate all three.

Finally before we get into the game again, I noticed that the Ctac Pills Weasel found at Sparks apartment were made by Pan Helix not Modus Phama. Are the two companies making rival pills or are Pan Helix manufacturing the pills for Modus?

Scene 18. Waiting for 8:47 at Shona’s appartment.

Shona’s cell has been hacked. The screen shows a time of 8:47pm and she cannot get passed it. The other three take out there cell phones and check them, each phone is the same as Shona’s, the screen is locked and shows the time 8:47pm, there is no way around it.

The conversation turns to what happened at Modus Pharma and Club Jade. Weasel describes the Elf celeb and Umbral Hound entering the Modus building, his encounter with the woman on the street and getting an address and number for Lavantha Ashterka.

Rook and Sinister realise that the reporter in club jade could be the same woman that Weasel talked to although there seems to be no connection between the elf celeb and the girl the reporter was trying to take pictures of in club jade.
They attempt to find out who the owner of club jade is but discover that not just their cells all the devices with internet access are locked and displaying the time 8:47pm. With nothing else to do they wait for 8:47pm.

Scene 19. 8:47pm at Shona’s appartment.

The time is 8:46pm, Shona stares at the screen of her cell and silently counts the seconds, she is curious and anxious to see what if anything happens, she glances at the other three who all look nervous. Weasel has his new cell in one hand and his stun baton in the other. Kid Sinister has his eyes glued on the entrance door to the apartment and Rooks hair begins to stand up on its end as if she is casting a spell, Shona secretly hopes she that is not something Rook would do, at least not yet.

The alarms on four cells simultaneously ring. 8:47pm. The intercom to Shona’s place buzzes. Shona answers, “Who is it?”

A female voice replies “Oh, hi. My name is Kyro, I have been asked to pick up four from this address. My boss says you were expecting me”.

Weasel moves to the window and peeks outside. Question. Is Kyro alone? Likely +20%. D100 roll = No, because… Who or what is with Kyro 1. Lavantha Ashterka. 2. Umbral Hound. 3. A reporter. 4. Security Guard. 5. Blue Striped Bernau. 6. Sargent Alegrip. d6 roll = 5. Weasel (makes a perc check to see if he recocognises the woman. d20 roll = 14, fail) with his cyber eyes sees a woman he does not recognise, with her, wrapped around her neck and shoulders, is a Blue Striped Bernau, he informs Shona.

“Whats with the fey cat”? Shona’s tone has an air of suspicion to it.

Kyro laughs “Oh, you can see me. Its my bosses pet but it likes to get out and about, goes everywhere with me. Look, we need to get going, my boss is a busy person. Grab what you need to bring and I will wait for you in the limo, its the black merc parked on the street”.

“Do we have a choice”? Shona asks.

“Not really”, comes the reply.
