At this point I am going to bring Shona and Rook into the adventure. They along with Weasel and Kid S are the four PC’s from my last Lowlife solo game. At the end of the last adventure Shona had taken 7 hit points dropping her down to just 1hp. Rook had suffered 5 hits and had 7 remaining.

In order to ascertain if both Shona and Rook have recovered from their wounds I need to work out how many days have gone by since the end of the last adventure. I know it is at least 3 so I roll d6 +3. The roll is 5 and with the +3 that’s 8 days since Shona and Rook got shot up. Just enough time for them both to heal fully.  As neither suffered any major trauma, they are both able to rejoin the game at full fitness.

I am making an assumption that at the end of session 4 Weasel and Kid got back to Foundry Bay and spent the evening with Shona and Rook talking about the days event’s

Toolkit.

The free adventure, ‘No sprawl for old men’, from Pickpocket Press contains a great description and floor plan of a nightclub along with random encounter tables which I have pinched to represent the Club Jade nightclub located in the Munroe district. This saves me heaps of time designing my own nightclub. There is a lot of useful material in the adventure pdfs available from pickpocket press on DrivethroughRPG.com for free or just a few pennies. Even if you don’t play through the adventures I highly recommend you pick these valuable resources up for the maps alone.

Scene 5. At Shona’s place that evening 

Question, is everything as expected? Yes.

I want to know how long Weasel, Kid and Shona will have to wait for Vienna the hacker to contact them with some info. Lowlife 2090 has tables for this. The Wait Times table has four options, so I roll d4. 1 = Short, 2 = Moderate, 3 = Long, 4 = Extreame.
Die roll is 1, Short. I roll 2d6 hours and get two more 1’s, (unbelievable). So, two hours after Weasel and Kid leave Vienna and some hours before they arrive at Shona’s place, Vienna contacts Shona with information. I use the Networking rules to decide what if any info Vienna has been able to find out.

Question. Was it the cops who came to the crime scene? Likely. No, because…
Question. Did Vienna find out who the security guards were who arrived at the scene? Unlikely. Yes but…
Question. Did Vienna find out who the man was Kid Sinister spoke to at the crime scene? 50/50. Yes.
Question. Has the concierge found the money to fund the vampire hunt? Unlikely in only two hours. Yes, but…

Weasel and Kid crashed out at Shonas for the evening, sleeping on Shonas floor is still infinitely better than sleeping in their own squat.

Shona was expecting them, “Vienna has been in touch with some info she thinks you may find useful”

Weasel feigned interest, “has she. tell me what she said over a pizza, I’m starving”

They get a pizza delivery and Shona tells Weasel and Kid S exactly what Vienna has told her. Vienna had managed to hack into the peacekeepers computer, there was no record of the cops being called about Sparks murder. Vienna had dug around to see if she could find out who’s goons had turned up.  Her contact said it was members of the Church of Lune but Vienna wasn’t sure they were. The man Kid S spoke to was ‘Zink Onishi’, a gunhand in the employ of ‘Hif Klomo’, the taur people smuggler. Chances are the goons were connected to Klomo”.

Shona finishes the last piece of her pizza, “oh, and she says the concierge at her place has a firm offer for you Kid but he will only talk to you”  

Scene 6. The following Morning, back to the Munroe district.

Shifting Weather.  Roll d8 = 5. Similar or re-roll on the Starting Weather table (50%, roll =38).
Starting Weather. Roll = 11. Acid rain thunderstorm with strong wind. Low CTAC count.
Random Time of Day. 8:35 am

Question. Is everything as expected? Yes.

Rook agrees to go with Kid Sinister& Weasel to talk to her friend Nashu Kamshunir, see if they can get Nashu to talk and get some Cera out of her. She is not keen to take money off her friend but Kid and Weasel assure her that if they are to help find out what has happened to Nashus brother they need money to buy equipment.

Shona stays at home. Intrigued by Weasel and Kids tale of their vampire encounter, she decides to make some enquiries, maybe she can find out more about the Thrall and its master.  It is also raining heavily, Shona has no desire to go outside into a thunderstorm.

Weasel, Kid and Rook take the subway back to Munroe district. They stop at the subway closest to Nashu Kamshunir apartment building. The subway station is quiet, the thunderstorm seems to be keeping people from travelling. Two security guards each with a guard dog are stopping everyone and checking not just their ID but also for weapons, drugs and CTAC infections. A Spriggan, Elf and tattooed Human were certainly going to be stopped.

Question. Do the security guards stop the PC’s. Very Likely. Yes, but…

Weasel, Kid and Rook see no way to avoid the security guards and their dogs. Weasel and Rook approach the guards first, Kid Sinister just behind. The security guards stop them but just give a quick glance at the fake id’s Weasel and Rook hand to them and let them through. They show slightly more interest in Kid Sinister, checking his fake id and scanning him for weapons. As usual, Kid had magically bonded his pistol and ammo to his body so they just looked like tattoos. Finding nothing, the security guards let him through as well. The three make their way from the subway to Nashu  Kamshunir Munroe apartment.

Question. Does anything unusual happen on the way to Nashu’s apartment? 50/50. No, because…

The thunderstorm has brought heavy rain with it, keeping people off the streets which are almost deserted. Weasel, Kid S and Rook flag down an Uber taxi to take them the relatively short distance to Nashu’s.

Question. Is the the same Uber driver that took Nashu to Spikes apartmen? Unlikely. No.

The taxi drops them off outside Nashu’s apartment block. The three rush to the entrance and Rook buzzes Nashu.

Question. Is Nashu Kamshunir at home? Likely, (she does not work and the thunderstorm will keep her in). Yes, but…

Question. Does Nashu have someone with her? 50/50. Yes.

Question. Does Nashu let them into her apartment? Likely. Yes, but…

Nashu answers the intercom. Rook speaks first “Nash, its Rook, I have Kid and Weasel with me. Can we come in and talk”?

“Okay but I wasn’t expecting you. I have company but it isn’t a problem, come up”.

Nashu opens the entrance doors and Rook followed by Weasel and Kid take the elevator to Nashu’s place.
