Todays character class from Lowlife 2090 RPG is the Gunhand, an arcane specialist forsaking spells for enchanted brands that fortify body and mind.
Page 9 of the Lowlife 2090 rules book details the 15 steps to character creation.
Step 1. Roll 1 d6 for get a random race for your character. I roll a 4 so my gunhand is going to be a skorn.
Step 2. Roll 1 d10 for your class. Well as I know I am creating a gunhand I can skip this.
Step 3. Roll attributes. One attribute must be 15 and I am rolling 4d6 and totalling the highest three for the remaining 6 attributes.
I get 13, 10, 13, 10, 9, 15
I distribute the rolls as follows (attribute modifiers in brackets).
Str: 10(0), Dex: 15(+2), Con: 10(0), Int: 13(+1), Perc: 15(+2), Will: 13(+1), Cha: 9(0)
Step 4. We calculate initiative (average of Dex and Int) so15+13/2 round down = 14
We also calculate Defence (11+Dex mod) = 13
Step 5. Our gunhand hit points are 4 + Con score + Level(1) = 15
Step 6. His Luck is 11 and his re-roll pool is 1
Step 7. Roll for contacts. Our gunhand starts with three contacts. I get the following (number in brackets is rating)
Peacekeeper Officer. (9) Catchphrase – How can I trust you?
Morgue Worker. (8) Catchphrase – Yeah, but how do I look?
Ganger (15) Catchphrase – Say again?
Step 8. Roll for augmentations. My gunhand starts with three augmentations.

Step 9. Gain bonus languages. With an Int. of 13, our gunhand knows one additional language. I give him French
Step 10. Choose skills. Our gunhand has 8 skills. He automatically gets Detection plus 7 others. I choose
Athletics, Deception, Detection, Stealth, Persuasion, Gather Info, Driving.
Step 11. Choose class abilities. My gunhand starts with two gun talents. I choose the following for him.
Quick Draw and Quick Reload.
Step 12. Add gear pack. As a gunhand he gets the following,
Kevlar Jacket, Rybak S32 SMG (2 x mags reg ammo), Cell ( Hon Hai Echo , Sys 10), Fake ID,
Knife, and ₵50
Step 13. Add turning point, living standard and address. I get
Loose End – The outfit you worked for was taken out in a corporate strike.
Living Standard – Low.
Address – Warhope.
Step 14. Create a background. My gunhand is a enforcer.
Step 15. My gunhand goes by the handle ‘Drop Pod’.
Finally, as an skorn, Drop Pod has advantage on strength related checks, all dead and mostly dead checks and natural infrared vision (Lowlife 2090 p. 150).
And there we have out third Lowlife 2090 character. Drop Pod the skorn gunhand. Keeps himself busy as the local enforcer in the Warhope district.
