Todays character class from Lowlife 2090 RPG is the Exarch, an arcane specialist forsaking spells for enchanted brands that fortify body and mind.
Page 9 of the Lowlife 2090 rules book details the 15 steps to character creation.
Step 1. Roll 1 d6 for get a random race for your character. I roll a 2 so my exarch is going to be an spriggan.
Step 2. Roll 1 d10 for your class. Well as I know I am creating a exarch I can skip this.
Step 3. Roll attributes. One attribute must be 15 and I am rolling 4d6 and totalling the highest three for the remaining 6 attributes.
I get 15, 9, 12, 11, 9, 9
I distribute the rolls as follows (attribute modifiers in brackets).
Str: 9(0), Dex: 15(+2), Con: 9(0), Int: 11(0), Perc: 9(0), Will: 15(+2), Cha: 12(0)
Step 4. We calculate initiative (average of Dex and Int) so15+11/2 round down = 13
We also calculate Defence (11+Dex mod) = 13
Step 5. Our exarch hit points are 4 + Con score + Level(1) = 14
Step 6. His Luck is 11 and his re-roll pool is 1
Step 7. Roll for contacts. Our exarch starts with three contacts. I get the following (number in brackets is rating)
People First Militia member. (12) Catchphrase – Well I don’t like the sound of that at all.
Occult Dealer. (14) Catchphrase – I don’t have time for this hoda.
Org, Crime Soldier, Drug Cartel (14) Catchphrase – You sure about this?
Step 8. Roll for augmentations. My exarch starts with no augmentations.
Step 9. Gain bonus languages. With an Int. of 11, our exarch knows no additional languages.
Step 10. Choose skills. Our exarch has 8 skills. He automatically gets Acrobatics and Knowledge (magic) plus 6 others. I choose
Athletics, Deception, Detection, Stealth, Persuasion, Gather Info.
Step 11. Choose class abilities. My exarch starts with Sense Magic and three imbuements. I choose the following for him.
Heavens Leap, Spirits Strike, Mind over Matter.
Step 12. Add gear pack. As a exarch he gets the following,
Kevlar Jacket, Sword, Saab Enforcer heavy pistol (2 x mags reg ammo), Cell ( Hon Hai Echo, Sys 10), Fake ID, 2 x knives , and ₵50.
Step 13. Add turning point, living standard and address. I get
Turning Point – Ex Mafia. Your family was always part of the Mafia, until your father’s coup went bad, and they died.
Living Standard – Low.
Address – Westgate.
Step 14. Create a background. My exarch is a district vigilante.
Step 15. My exarch goes by the handle ‘Mercy Red’.
Finally, as an elf, Mercy Red has innate night optics (Lowlife 2090 p. 150) and a natural magnetism that grants advantage on Charisma related checks.
And there we have out third Lowlife 2090 character. Mercy Red the elf exarch. Keeps himself busy as the local vigilante in the Westgate district.
