A gentle Fae creature for Beyond the Wall and Other Adventures

There are places in the deep green of the old woods where the air feels thick with memory — where the moss grows in soft, rippling carpets and the trees seem to lean in as if listening. In such places, travellers sometimes glimpse a small creature watching them with luminous, dew-bright eyes: the Moss‑Whisper Hare.
These elusive Fae are guardians of forgotten paths and keepers of quiet stories. They rarely speak aloud, but those who earn their trust may hear their voices as soft impressions in the mind — like the hush of wind through ferns or the distant echo of running water.

🌫️ Moss‑Whisper
Once per encounter, the hare can project a calming, moss‑soft whisper into the minds of nearby creatures. All hostile creatures within 30 feet must save vs. Spell or lose their next action, overcome by a sudden wave of quiet, grounding peace.
🌲 Path‑Bending
The hare can subtly shift the forest around it. Once per day, it may cause a woodland path to twist, loop, or redirect. This can be used to hide a trail, protect a glade, or gently guide lost travellers toward safety.
🌀 Fae Skittishness
If reduced to 0 hp, the hare vanishes in a swirl of drifting moss spores, reappearing unharmed somewhere in the forest at dawn. It cannot be killed by mundane means.
